Outstanding paper award for the 3D Heart team

The Virtual Interaction and Visualisation of 3D Medical Imaging Data with VTK and Unity was selected as the winner of the Outstanding Paper Award at the MICCAI conference in Gerona, Spain in September 2018.

The award was presented to Gavin Wheeler, Shuji Deng, Nicolas Toussaint, Kuberan Pushparajah, Julia Schnabel, John Simpson and Alberto Gomez.

The 3D Heart team published a paper led by Gavin Wheeler: Wheeler, Gavin, Shujie Deng, Nicolas Toussaint, Kuberan Pushparajah, Julia A. Schnabel, John M. It was presented in September at a workshop of MICCAI conference in Granada (Spain) in September 2018. The presentation and demonstration of 3D Heart technology received great feedback. The presented work received the Outstanding Paper Award of the Augmented Environments for Computer Assisted Interventions workshop.
